Our coffee is grown in the High Mountains of Veracruz, Mexico.
Veracruz coffee is a designation of origin that regulates and protects coffee produced in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Bourbon, Caturra, Garnica, Mundo Novo and Typica coffee varieties predominate. Veracruz coffee is characterized by being a coffee with high acidity, a spicy and full-bodied flavor, and an intense aroma. Some sources indicate that the best coffee beans in Mexico are produced in this area of Veracruz.
Veracruz coffee is appreciated for its organoleptic properties. This coffee has an intense chocolate flavor, with sweet caramel nuances and a fragrance reminiscent of walnut. It also has a certain fruity flavor, particularly red fruits. It is characterized by high acidity, and, especially the coffee produced in the Zongolica and Huatusco area, also provides certain citrus notes.
At the international level, the Mexican government registered the DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN OF VERACRUZ COFFEE before the World Intellectual Property Organization, in accordance with the Lisbon System, in October 2001, with the same geographical coverage.
Our coffee cultivation grows in the heart of Veracruz, surrounded by forests and water from the Pico de Orizaba glacier. We grow crops under shade, free of chemicals that damage the land, we take care of the soil, the trees and the bird communities that live in them with care and love.
